daily routine that changes your life

Self-realization is the key to self-transformation. So, as a part of my year-long self-improvement strategy in 2018, I have tried to identify and get the most out of my inherent abilities in the past few months. I am grateful that I realized this and was able to understand a different dimension of life, which is scientifically validated, but still beyond logic.

I found the following 9 small lifestyle changes quite effective in turning my life around : -

1- Practice Gratitude When You Wake Up

Gratitude is a great means to keep going even if life gets tough. You may not have it all, but you do have something to be grateful for. Most people don’t even have the basics like a roof over their heads or food on their table. So, when you wake up, try to be grateful for the things you have. Make a list of the things you feel thankful about or start writing in a gratitude journal. While expressing gratitude at any point of the day is a good thing, there is no better time for it than early in the morning when your mind is fresh and calm.

2- Do Not Check Your Phone First Thing in the Morning

The  first thing I did every morning was check my phone, just like 80% of smartphone users. Not anymore though, as I realized doing so did the worst kind of damage. The moment you check your phone, your mind starts thinking about the content you have just read. Thus staying focused on that things that really matter becomes tough and your productivity decreases even before your day has begun. So, stay away from your phone in the morning.

3 - Do Not Talk to Anyone for at least an Hour

Avoid talking to anyone for at least an hour every day. It’s a great way to reconnect with your inner self and heighten concentration. However, you need to start with small periods first. Try not talking for ten minutes initially and gradually work your way up. This period shouldn’t involve any dialogue, conversations (written or verbal), or gestures. So, pick a time when no one will disturb you.
“Motivation is what gets you started, habit is what keeps you going.”

4 - Be with Yourself and Live in the Moment

The first hour after you wake up is the most energetic time of the day. So, it is the best time to be with yourself. Just sit quietly with your eyes closed and focus your complete attention on your breathing. Call it meditation if you like; I call it “Me-Time.” Try to live in the moment and keep your mind from wandering. It will improve your critical thinking, emotional intelligence, and concentration. With regular practice, you can also achieve peace of mind.

5 - Learn to Be Happy for No Reason

Contrary to popular belief, being happy for no reason is quite natural because happiness is a state of mind. If you are waiting for someone or something to make you happy, you are missing the point of life. Inherent happiness can last longer and lift your spirit instantly. This is why when you feel happy, you can enjoy even a cold and tasteless meal. Just be happy for 30 minutes every day for no reason.

6 - Don’t Accumulate Random Content

We are what we read and experience. So, be very careful about the info rmation you collect and the way it affects your routine. I found these useful:
  • Choose Google over social media so that you search what you really need instead of coming across random content.
  • Rather than listening to the radio, listen to podcasts to hear what you like.
  •  Stop reading newspapers  and start folloswing trending news on Twitter instead.
  • Similarly choose Netflix or Youtube instead of TV what you like.
“For every minute you are angry you lose sixty seconds of happiness.”

7 - Uninstall Social Media Apps and Turn Off Phone Notifications

Deleting all social media apps from my phone and turning off notifications has been the smartest decision I have made so far this year. An average person spends nearly two hours on social media daily amounting to five years and four months of their lifetime. However, it also leads to overthinking. Plus, a constantly buzzing phone is a distraction. Your phone shouldn’t govern your life.

8 - Learn Not to Complain

Life is a series of obstacles, however, complaining about your problems is rarely helpful. If anything, it is counterproductive. Unless you want to feel depressed, stressed, and alone, you should learn not to complain. It isn’t easy, but, if you spend just a day without complaining, you will realize how enriching your life can be. You will have more time to think about the things that genuinely matter.

9 - Moving from “I Know” to “I Don’t Know”

Having an “I-know-everything” attitude means you don’t have the eagerness to learn and explore new possibilities. However, shifting your mindset to “I don’t know” opens up new opportunities to shape your life. I have learned that the later attitude is also a conversation starter. Every conversation can result in knowing something new or getting to know an interesting person. Sometimes, I pretend to know nothing just to strike a conversation. Usually, I end up learning something interesting anyway.

If you want to thrive in today’s competitive marketplace, you’d better start working smart. Work defines the man. For me, work means personal power. The power to change material aspects, to achieve goals, fulfill dreams, and contribute to the greater good. Work is a sacred activity, yet most of us perceive it as hard and often terrifying. In today’s post, I’m sharing several insightful tips that should help you work smarter instead of harder. Don’t get me wrong – both hard and smart are key components for generating impressive results, so don’t try to “skip” your work but rather accept it and adopt it.

Here are 7 ways you can work smarter today:-

1. Mind, Body, Spirit -

Most individuals will choose to believe that their poor results come as a result of one or two causes. In fact, you can never blame just two or three causes for an event because there are usually much more. I believe that in order to reach success, you must cultivate a mind-body-spirit balance.
What does this mean? It means that you don’t focus only on healthy eating but you also focus on constructive reading and learning. You also meditate, focus, and reflect upon life from a “higher perspective”. Simply put, you don’t neglect your physical needs, your intellectual needs, and your spiritual needs as they are all critically important!

2. Pay Close Attention to Distractions

What are distractions? Well, to me, a distraction is the end of my productivity. Whenever I sit focused for an hour without allowing anything to disturb me, my attention constantly increases. The moment I let my mind wander, I immediately start to feel like there is a struggle to get back on track. To deliver awesome results, you must completely eliminate distractions while you work. Be smart and learn to say “no.”

3. Planning Will Make You Successful

If you know how to plan your life, the unexpected will mostly bring pleasure. We often feel stressed, angry, or frustrated because things have managed to get out of our control. Therefore, instead of seeking the solution, we often focus on the problem. Planning is your best way to build a stable roadmap that you can hold on to. Whenever you slip, your notes will bring you back where “you must be.”

4. Find Out Your “Best Working Hours”

Every professional works differently. If you expect to get the same results as your neighbor following his own formula, you shouldn’t be surprised if the result is totally different. In order to find out your “best working hours,” meaning the hours that are most favorable to your working habits, you must start studying yourself. Your body has its habits, and you must be very careful when reading its signals.
Start experimenting. Try 5AM one week, 6AM the next one, try a different sleeping schedule the next week and keep doing it until you’re satisfied with your energy, results, and quality of focus. Obviously, don’t forget that it’s not just the hour that makes work smart, it’s mostly you!

5. Be Consistent

smart work quotes

Success doesn’t come easy, so if you’re not ready to stay consistent throughout your journey, you should develop no expectations. When you look at a successful person on TV, you’re only observing the surface. Step back for a second and consider this: how many hours of hustle, work, frustrations, disappointments, and pain did that person go through? You must have heard of Thomas Edison’s story with the lightbulb – failing hundreds of times before actually succeeding. Take his behavior as an example and apply it in your work.

6. Be Confident

confidence quotes

Confidence will take you far in  but only if you balance it with humbleness. Being confident and humble at the same time isn’t rocket science. If you want to prove something, a skill, an idea, or anything you believe is worth mentioning, be confident and take your chances immediately.

7. Consistently Improve Your Skills

Do you want to be a more valuable employee or a better-skilled entrepreneur? Imagine this: how can a football player become better if not through consistent practice? How could he become the best player in the world if not through practice, consistency, and continuous growth? The answer is simple – unless he truly works and cares for it, he will never reach that goal. Although some talent is needed too, talent can be surpassed by both hard and smart work.
If you’re looking for a lasting change in your life, you’d better point your attention to what sits “within.” Your internal world shapes your external world no matter what. Start educating yourself and you’ll see that work becomes play and play will become art. Anything that’s holding you back is simply present because you must overcome it. We all create challenges in our lives, and we can all decide to remove them when we truly care enough!

Do you have any tips or suggestions on how to get more work done in less time? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below!

There is only one thing in the world you get to control and that's your effort. When you put a lot of effort in and you do it consistently , you get a lot back such as more pay, more joy, better relationship and more fitness. When you constantly exude effort and you experience the results that make you grateful you start automatically associating with your effort gratitude. This help you become confident that your work will create amazing opportunities in the future.

If you want to be grateful and successful then start a gratitude practice.

Below are four different ways you can cement your gratitude practice and take your success to the next level.

1- Start an "Amazing Efforts" note tab

Best motivational quotes

Most people stop putting in effort because they don't have enough positive reinforcement for the work they put in. They work, but they don't see results by the time they think they should have. Because they have not encouraged themselves or felt grateful for their efforts, they fizzle out. The simplest solution is to start an ongoing note tab for your amazing efforts.
This note tab will be populated with all good decisions you make from waking up and sticking with your morning routine even when you felt like hell to taking care of your body.

You feel grateful for doing  what less motivated people wouldn't and you feel empowered. All of this brings you a step closer to the person you want to be and the things you want to achieve.

"For every disciplined there is a multiple reward."

2- Create a list of daily non-negotiables

Best Motivational quotes

It's awesome to practice gratitude, but if you sit on your duff practicing gratitude when you should be busting to make things happen, you won't progress and your gratitude practice will not be effective. How can you get up and give your best when don't even know what you should be doing? My solution is draft a recurring list of daily non-negotiable goals.
Once a week sit down with pen and paper and think of your highest priority goals. Let's say you want to get paid for writing or for your design work- then writing, designing, pitching, applying for work and studying to advance your craft should be the things you are doing everyday no excuses.

There is not going to be one massive action you take that gets you there , it's going to be your daily effort towards small but important goals in your non-negotiable list. If you have that list written down
and imprinted in your brain, you wake up knowing exactly what must be done to give your best effort for the day.

3- Things you need to include in your non-negotiables list

Along with any daily action you need to take for your career, include your goals for health, fitness, happiness and any kind of self improvement that's critical to you for the next week. For instance mediating, journaling, practicing something you love and exercising will probably appears on your non-negotiables list.

Don't saddle yourself with too many goals- otherwise you will feel paralyzed and scared to even try. But at the same time time try to challenge yourself  and yourself out of your comfort zone. The most important thing is that you are putting in consistent effort towards the things that matter most.

4- Get someone to keep your accountable to your efforts

Best motivational quotes

It's is one thing to do less than what you expected of yourself, and to let yourself down. You are not affecting anyone else right? No one's is going to give you any guff about it and you can rationalize your effort with any number of excuses.

When you check in with your friend, mentor or coach you will tell them about the amazing effort that you made and they'll celebrate your efforts and give you a thousand times more positive reinforcement than you could experience on your own. You'll associate your efforts with an incredible person who cares about and who's excited about your progress which will help you make amazing efforts no matter how you feel.

If you don't have someone who can keep you accountable and celebrate your successes, it's extremely important to find a mentor or coach who can rely on.

Conclusion

If you've  practiced gratitude only to quiet or you didn't get the result you wanted, start putting in more effort today.

Darr(Fear) ek imagination chiz hoti hai .Darr( Fear) ek bahut bda reason hota jo ki kisi person ko aage badhne ya success hone nahi deta.Agar success hona hai to sbse pehle darr ko bhagna hoga.Apne aap par bharosa (believe) karke.Dur bhagne ki bajay uska samna kare aur aage badhe.

3- SET YOUR AIM (EK LAKSHYA BANAO)~
